TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Although the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico are quiet, there is one area of tropical interest just off the coast of Africa.
This tropical wave, with showers and thunderstorms, is sitting near the west coast of Africa currently. At this time it has a westward movement of 10 to 15 mph. As it moves into the Atlantic Ocean, environmental conditions could be favorable for development. At this time, however, there is only a 30% chance of development in the next five days.
