MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- There are generally low expectations for any tropical developments in the near-term future across the Atlantic basin.

One point of interest remains embedded in the vast upper stream of air and low-level moisture from the western Caribbean through the eastern Gulf and the Florida peninsula.  The upper trough over the Yucatan Channel will continue to keep weather conditions somewhat agitated in this region, but the formation of an organized surface low is not expected to occur rapidly in the next few days.  Periods of rain will continue to impact parts of Florida, particularly in the peninsula of the state.

There are no other areas of concern elsewhere in the Gulf, Caribbean, or open Atlantic.
