MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The tropical Atlantic basin remains void of major disturbances, and the development of a tropical depression is not expected in the next several days. Massive amounts of airborne dust, originating from the Sahara Desert, is basically zapping the excess moisture from the typical sources where tropical system tend to form. As long as the moisture is lacking, it will be difficult to get tropical cyclones to develop and intensify.
