MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Hurricane Jose is set to complete a loop in its track over the next couple of days, situated southwest of Bermuda in the western Atlantic. The majority of indications lean toward Jose maintaining some distance from the U.S. Atlantic coast, likely to be shunted off to the northeast by the weekend farther into the northern North Atlantic. Higher surf and swells are possible along the east coast, but not many other direct effects are expected.
A few other tropical waves exist in the Atlantic basin, but they don't appear to have immediate chances to develop into stronger systems in the next few days.
