MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The disturbances with the highest chances for further development exist in the open Atlantic Ocean, with limited chances for either system to impact areas of land.

Tropical Depression Nine (forecast track shown) will struggle to maintain or gain strength and organization.  Faster winds aloft and moderately dry air will keep the system relatively weak, with the expectation of the system to become a dissipating low over the weekend.

A second wave, located east of the tropical depression, is forecast to follow a similar track in the next few days, but with a slightly better chance for further formation into a depression in the near-term future.  This will also not harm any major land masses.

Areas of moisture in the Gulf are also encounter swift upper-level winds, which will hinder any development efforts.  Heavy rain, however, is still possible with the tropical moisture feed impacting areas of the Florida peninsula through the end of the week.
