MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Tropical Storm Harvey has finally moved well enough inland, over southwestern Louisiana, to begin a gradual decaying mode as a tropical system. It will still carry huge amounts of moisture into the Mississippi and Ohio valleys through the end of the week, spreading heavy rain threats into the areas.
Tropical Storm Irma formed in the eastern North Atlantic in the Cape Verde region, moving west at 13 mph. Because of its location, it will not impact land anytime over the next five days, but it is likely to continue to strengthen into a hurricane as it nears the region around the Lesser Antilles next week.
