MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The disturbance lingering in the southwestern Caribbean Sea has a broad low-pressure circulation, but limited organization and light winds at the surface. The warm water environment along with light upper-level winds will still favor some further organization in the next few days, and a tropical depression can't be ruled out from this system. It will likely be toward the end of the week or the weekend before this possibly occurs.
Forecast movement is expected to be slow and erratic, and generally remaining in place in the near-term future.
This is the only area of possible tropical development in the Atlantic basin as of Wednesday afternoon.
