MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Tropical Storm Rina, located about 500 miles southeast of Newfoundland, gained more wind force but is becoming less organized. A transition to a post- or extra-tropical cyclone is likely over the next 48 hours as it accelerates to the north, then northeast, into the colder northern North Atlantic waters.
Moisture driven by an upper low near Hispaniola does not have indications of tropical system development. Hence, no concerns for additional tropical cyclone activity exist in the outlook through the weekend.
