MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The former Tropical Storm Claudette is a post-tropical low-pressure system in the colder regions of the north Atlantic, and it will not return as a tropical entity.
No other areas in the tropical Atlantic basin warrant immediate concern for near-term development.
As the end of July approaches, portions of the southern latitudes in the north Atlantic tend to show increased disturbance activity, leading generally to a greater chance for systems to become better organized. Despite the recent trends of dry air and cooler-than-average water temperatures, a slight pick-up in overall disturbance activity is possible toward the end of July and through most of August.
