MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- A disorganized wave of moisture south of Cuba doesn't pose a huge risk to the Gulf region since further intensification is not expected because of the upper-level wind patterns currently in place.
The east Atlantic system leaving the west coast of the African continent is exhibiting limited strengthening in the short term, but conditions in the central Atlantic will support more development in the longer-range aspect of the forecast. The system will move west-northwest, staying in open waters for the time being.
There are no other points of concern around the Atlantic basin.
