MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- While there are no present concerns of quick-forming tropical systems in the Atlantic basin, there's still attention being drawn to the moisture left over by the Pacific tropical storm, Boris, which has been drenching southern Mexico.
The remnants of the system will drift north and tend to meander in the southwestern Gulf and the Bay of Campeche over the weekend. Steering winds aloft will be weak, and the environment around the low will only be marginally favorable for further redevelopment of the system.
The disturbance may be a source of moisture for some of the southern and eastern Gulf early next week, but the exact form of the system is still very unclear. Either way, no rapid strengthening or organizing is forecast through the next few days.
