MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Forecasts are being issued by the National Hurricane Center on Tropical Storm Fiona in the open Atlantic. Refer to the corresponding articles in the Hurricane Center section of wtxl.tv for details and updates.
Aside from Tropical Depression Six, a second wave of disturbed weather is emerging into the far eastern Atlantic from the west Africa coast. The system will run into slightly favorable atmospheric conditions for future development as it maintains a west to northwest course of movement through the next several days. It is quite a distance from any interests in the Gulf or Caribbean, so there will be plenty of time to monitor its developments and gain a better understanding of its strength and movement potential.
