TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- An upper level ridge is sitting over the southeast, which helped keep our region mostly rain free on Wednesday. Over the next few days, this ridge will slowly push further eastward, bringing in more humid air from the east. This will in turn increase our rain chances for Thursday and Friday.
Tonight will be fairly calm and quiet. Mainly clear skies with lows in the lower to mid 70s. Winds will be calm and rain will not be likely.
Thursday is forecast to be partly cloudy with highs near 93 degrees. There is a 30 percent chance of afternoon rain throughout the area. Winds will be from the northeast to east at about 5 to 10 mph. Thursday night will be mainly clear with lows in the lower 70s. Rain is not in the forecast during the overnight hours.
