TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Scattered rain and thunderstorms seem to be the norm this week, but as we move into the later hours of tonight, our rain chances will begin dropping off. Tomorrow will likely be very similar to what we saw on Wednesday with scattered afternoon rain. Heading into the weekend, expect much more rain. The disturbance that's currently near Belize will begin moving into the Gulf allowing for more rain to enter our forecast.
Tonight, however, looks to be mainly dry and mild. Lows fall to the low 70s with a light southwest wind. Mainly cloudy conditions remain on hand.
Thursday will be warm with highs warming to the mid and upper 80s under a partly sunny day. There is a 40 percent chance of seeing some rain and thunderstorm activity in the afternoon. If any storms form, they are not expected to become severe or noteworthy. Winds remain from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph for much of the day. Thursday night will be cloudy with lows back in the low 70s.
