TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- The rest of tonight will be calm and free of any spooky weather. Clear skies and mild lows are expected. The same cannot be said for Thursday and Friday. A cold front is continuing to trek across the United States. As it approaches us on Late Thursday, we'll see our rain and thunderstorm chances increase. Some of these thunderstorms may become stronger or severe Thursday evening, and again on Friday.

As previously mentioned, tonight will be a quiet one with clear skies and lows near 60 degrees. Winds will be light from the south.

Thursday will be mainly cloudy with highs climbing to the low 80s. Winds may be breezy at times from the south, about 10 to 15 mph. Rain chances increase throughout the afternoon and evening hours, peaking at 60 percent coverage. There is a chance that we may see some stronger or even severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon into the late evening hours. Thursday night lows will be even warmer than tonight's, falling to the mid 60s with scattered rain remaining possible.
