MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the WTXL First Alert Weather Center ...

Clouds and few showers and storms will meander around the region this evening, diminishing in full by late tonight with some leftover cloud cover.  Lows will fall to the mid and low 70s. A cold front in the Deep South may contribute to a scattering of showers and thunder Thursday afternoon for inland areas, while northwest to northeast winds may suppress the seabreeze and keep the coverage of daytime rain and storms in a lower range.  Highs will be between the upper 80s for the coast and low to mid 90s away from the beaches.  A few more clouds are likely in the days ahead, initially from the lingering cold front, and then clouds flung around a developing low-pressure center off the Florida east coast this weekend.  This feature will likely stay to our east and position us for unseasonable drying with a slight drop in temperatures early next week.  However, clouds will still be present along with occasional showers, especially in the I-75 corridor.
