TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- An area of low pressure is moving eastward through the Gulf of Mexico toward Florida's panhandle. This low pressure has is responsible for the shower activity and overcast skies seen throughout the day into tomorrow afternoon.
Tonight, a few showers a possible throughout the region under overcast skies. Overnight lows fall to the lower 40s across south Georgia and mid 40s throughout the Big Bend. Winds will remain light from the north east, about 5 mph.
Thursday will be another cloudy and chilly day with a chance for seeing more showers. Daytime highs warm to the mid 40s to near 50 degrees throughout the area with a light northeast wind. Moving into Thursday night, a few pop up showers may continue as lows fall to the lower 40s.
