MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the WTXL First Alert Weather Center ...

The northwest wind pattern has effectively cut down on the coverage of rain, keeping the highest potential near and south of Interstate 10 for the early evening time frame.  In these areas, isolated downpours and occasional lightning may still occur, but cloudiness elsewhere will thin out as the night goes on.  Lows will drop to the low to mid 70s, then highs rebound to the low to mid 90s away from the beaches Thursday.  There will be fewer showers and storms inland by afternoon, then an upswing in scattered to numerous shower and storm activity is forecast for the weekend with an upper disturbance approaching from the Tennessee Valley. A slightly drier periods is possible early next week with continued seasonable warmth.
