MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The tropical Atlantic basin remains generally inactive, with masses of moisture in the southern latitudes near the Cape Verde Islands and in the southwestern Caribbean showing no near-term hints of developing into organized systems.
In late October through November, the nearby waters of the Gulf, the Bay of Campeche, and the western Caribbean tend to be favored areas of tropical depression origination. Long-range forecast patterns indicate a slight chance for disturbances to be present around these regions. We'll monitor future patterns closely for any signs of developing lows down the road.
