MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The 24-hour local weather station "ABC 27 Weather NOW" seen on channel 27.3 and Comcast cable channel 210 remains off the air late Monday night.
A critical piece of hardware that ingests and organizes weather data and video failed last week. Replacement parts will be installed by station engineers to restore the Weather NOW service as soon as possible.
In the event of any severe weather occurrences, the WTXL ABC 27 Storm Team will still be able to provide live, extended coverage of any severe thunderstorm warnings, should they be issued during the outage of the regular Weather NOW programming.
We appreciate your comments and concerns about the discrepancy, and are working to bring the channel back to full service soon.
