While heavy snow has just buried the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, listen to this interesting fact.

On this day in 1899 a strong blizzard struck the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Washington D.C. was pummeled with 20.5 inches. That topped off the snow they had already accumulated, bringing their total snow on the ground to three feet. The popular vacation destination, Cape May, NJ saw 36 inches alone from this storm!
