If you think the temps are unbearable, wait ‘til you hear what happened on this day in 1963. An outbreak of intense Arctic air reached way down into the Southern United States. Many record low temperatures were broken including our own here in the Big Bend. We saw temps dip all the way down to 17 degrees! Nashville was the winner of this cold blast lottery. They saw an all-time record low temperature of 15 below zero!
