After a chilly week, temperatures this weekend will rebound to the high 70's - more than 10 degrees above average for this time of year!

On this day in 1988, thirty-one cities in the central and northeastern U.S. reported new record high temperatures, many during the early morning hours. Temperatures in western New York State even reached the 60's early in the day. Across the country, however, strong northerly winds produced wind chill readings as cold as 60 degrees below zero in North Dakota - and we thought we were on a temperature roller coaster here in South Georgia and North Florida!
