TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--
On this day in 1988, according to The National Weather Summary Storm Data, a round of heavy showers and thunderstorms down poured on the southeastern U.S. Valdosta, GA received more than 5 inches of rain and the total in a 24 hour period for Apalachicola, FL came to 7.10 inches. This new total more than doubled their previous record for a 24 hour rain total in February.
