MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- There is no active tropical cyclone in the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, or Caribbean Sea.

There is, however, an area southeast of the Yucatán Pensinsula in the Western Caribbean that may see some slow development. Currently, it has a 20% chance of developing within the next five days.

This bears watching as model guidance hints that this disturbance will push into the Western Gulf of Mexico by this time next week.
