TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Although hurricane season doesn't start until June 1st, we now have Tropical Storm Arlene in the open Atlantic. This storm has sustained winds at 45 mph and is moving to the west northwest. Tropical Storm Arlene is expected to be short lived and dissipate by Friday.
While Tropical Storm Arlene is not a threat to land, it is a good reminder to be prepared for hurricane season. Again, hurricane season starts on June 1st, 2017.
