TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - The newest tropical depression is still forecasted to drift towards the Yucatan Peninsula and re-emerge in the western Caribbean. The forecast strength should maintain itself as only a tropical depression as it interacts with the high terrain of southern Mexico. As it advances into the Caribbean, the system seems to simply drift around as no other weather systems interact with it. Because it'll be due south of our area we'll still keep a close eye on it but as of now we expect no local impacts from the new system. Stay tuned for another update this afternoon.
