MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The area of low pressure over the open Atlantic that is still several hundred miles away from Newfoundland has now formed into Subtropical Depression Five.
The system is still no direct threat to land, and it will likely not last long even if it does become a subtropical/tropical storm.
If it becomes a named storm, the next name available is Ernesto.
