MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- As of the latest advisory (5pm ET), Tropical Storm Earl has sustained winds at 60 mph, making the center wind field more formidable as it approaches the Mexican Gulf coast for its next landfall. It is currently moving west at around 8 mph. If you are tracking the storm center, the coordinates are shown in the picture attached with this article.
It is not expected to have much more time to strengthen further. A primary threat will still be the heavy rains expected, and the resulting flash floods and landslide possibilities accompanying the rain.
