TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Conditions remain quiet heading into mid-August. Typically, this is when we see hurricane season start heating up with the "peak" coming around early to mid September.
Due to cooler than average waters stretching from the southern Caribbean to western Africa, no storms are expected to form through next weekend.
