MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Hurricane Oscar continues to intensify in the open Atlantic. The Category 2 hurricane is expected to speed up and turn NE today, quickly becoming non-tropical after midweek.
As of the latest advisory, Hurricane Oscar was located about 470 miles ESE of Bermuda. Maximum sustained winds were measured to be around 105 mph.
The storm is not expected to directly impact land, though it may increase surf and rip current hazards for Bermuda and the Azores.
