TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - A tropical wave continues to spin off the Carolina coast that has a 20% chance of forming through the weekend, however it has an easterly trajectory, so no local impacts are expected from that system.
Meanwhile, in the eastern Atlantic, Tropical Storm Ida continues to spin and is now actually moving to the east southeast at 5 mph. Weak steering winds are causing this system to not make much headway. Despite its strange forecast cone of uncertainty, the important thing to note is there is still no local impacts expected from this system.
