Tuesday morning Tropics check (08/26/2014)

TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Hurricane Cristobal sustains itself as a weak Category 1 hurricane.  The core of the moisture stays to the south and east as it's fighting a lot of upper level wind shear continuing to tear apart the northern part of the storm.  Cristobal will continue to slowly move north but will begin to pick up steam as it gets picked up by the jet stream. Elsewhere, the disorganized low pressure system in the open Atlantic off the African shoreline has since fizzled away.
