TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - The tropics remain moderately active with Grace barely reaching the requirements of a tropical storm with sustained winds at 40 mph and gusts up to 52 mph. It continues to move westward at 20 mph towards the Windward Islands. Grace is expected to weaken into a tropical depression later on Tuesday and fall apart by the weekend.
Additionally, there is a tropical wave about 250 miles east-southeast of Bermuda associated with a trough of low pressure. Environmental conditions are somewhat favorable so there is a 30% chance of tropical formation through the weekend.
