The forecast for today looks much the same as yesterday – muggy conditions with a 60% chance at some showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon hours. The heaviest rain should stay to the southeastern parts of our forecast area (east of Thomasville/Tallahassee). Highs today will only reach the mid 80’s.The stationary front causing these showers and storms will remain in place across north Florida tomorrow, keeping a 60% chance of rain in the picture. Another cold front will also sweep through tomorrow afternoon, triggering a few storms. A high pressure system builds in from the north on Thursday, beginning a drier pattern of low humidity and low rain chances that will last through the weekend. Another system on Monday may increase rain chances slightly once again. Temperatures through the week will be on a downward trend, with highs dropping to the mid 80’s and lows falling to the mid 60’s.
