MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- All is quiet in the tropical Atlantic basin, except for the disturbance in the northern Gulf of Mexico. While it will still be able to produce heavy rain for the northern and eastern Gulf coast states, the system will not be able to transform into a formal organized tropical cyclone.
