MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The former tropical storm Fiona has become a remnant low-pressure system south of Bermuda. Its remnants are not expected to re-intensify, but the low may linger in the western Atlantic for a few days.
Tropical Storm Gaston has gradually strengthened and is forecast to reach Category 1 hurricane level in the next 12 to 24 hours while in the open Atlantic waters.
A third system, yet unnamed, is a few hundred miles east of the northern Leeward Islands. Its forecast track and strength projection are a bit more complicated.
Full details on Gaston and the unnamed tropical disturbance are available in articles in the Hurricane Center section of wtxl.tv.
