The tropics remain calm. There is no development in the Gulf of Mexico. One area of low pressure is stretching from the southeastern Bahamas to the northeast several hundred miles. This wave is causing some showers and thunderstorm activity but also only has a 10 percent chance of development within the next 48 hours and will not be affecting our region at this time.
