MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) --

  • The remnants of the former Hurricane Florence are moving through southern New England and set to re-enter the Atlantic Ocean waters. Despite this, re-development of the system is unlikely. It may continue to show a counter-clockwise circulation, but cooler air influence should prevent the system from quick organization or strengthening.
  • Tropical Depression Joyce is in the eastern Atlantic, south the Azores, and is forecast to transition into a post-tropical cyclone in the next day or two.
  • The previous tropical Storm Isaac is still carrying a batch of moisture south of the western tip of Cuba Tuesday afternoon, moving west-northwest. There are no immediate signs of re-generation into a tropical depression or storm, and no projections of the system regaining depression or storm status. The moisture source is forecast to reach the central and western Gulf of Mexico later this week.
