MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The remnants of Tropical Storm Hanna are producing heavy rain over Honduras and northern Nicaragua, but the chances of the system returning to the Caribbean waters are very limited, and the expectation is for the disturbance to remain over land.
A second tropical wave near the northern edge of the Leeward Islands is still poorly organized with faster upper-level winds. Those winds may decrease and lead to modest intensification. Regardless, all indications show the system curving to the north and then northeast, keeping it in the open Atlantic and not a threat to the United States.
Gathered moisture in the southern latitudes of the north Atlantic currently don't show any major promise of future organization.
