MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the WTXL First Alert Weather Center ...

Scattered showers and thunder are flowing from southeast to northwest around the circulation of Tropical Storm Gordon, but local accumulations are minimal. Higher rain coverage exists in the Forgotten and Emerald coasts of the Panhandle, where winds are higher and tropical storm effects are more prolific. Spotty showers and storms may contain briefly strong gusts, while peak sustained winds for most will be around 10 to 20 mph. A few passing showers are possible late tonight with lows in the mid 70s. Highs should return to near 90° as clouds linger with some breaks of sun by the afternoon. Rain coverage will be near average. Through the rest of the week, a daily dose of afternoon showers and storms is likely with temperatures remaining near average (lows in the low to mid 70s, highs near 90°).
