MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the WTXL First Alert Weather Center ...

Scattered clouds west of the Aucilla River late today have the slight capability of producing brief, light showers up until sunset.  General coverage of any rain will be highly local and isolated, but the additional clouds may provide needed shade from the hot sunshine. The sky will be clearer overnight with lows reaching the lower 60s. The heat cranks up again Wednesday under a mostly sunny to partly cloudy sky as we get close to 90° for highs. The air will still be somewhat dry, so any shower development will remain isolated and brief. More sun and hot conditions will be with us through the weekend. A plume of tropical moisture makes some headway into the Florida peninsula early next week and can provide some local spots a higher chance for some rain.
