MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the WTXL First Alert Weather Center ...

The scattered variety of showers and thunderstorms will effect select locations through mid-evening before dissipating by midnight. Only offshore and coastal locations run a risk for early-morning shower action before heating the the seabreeze, the usual summertime factors, drive up the rain and storm development by mid-afternoon Wednesday. A nearby upper trough may contribute to a few more showers and storms in interior south Georgia. Lows tonight will drop into the mid 70s, and highs range from the upper 80s to low 90s Wednesday. High pressure in the west Atlantic will nudge its way over the region, allowing slight drying and a lowering of rain potential for the end of the work week while readings run into the low to mid 90s during the day.
