MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the WTXL First Alert Weather Center ...

Today marks the end of the warm trend we've experienced.  Late tonight, clouds will build and a few showers and isolated thunderstorms will move from west to east across the region.  This will introduce a potent cold front that will cause high temperatures Wednesday to occur in the morning.  Readings will drop through the 60s during the day with continued cloudiness and periods of showers and rain.  The cold front is the edge of much colder air from the Arctic regions dropping south, sustaining a chillier pattern for the area for the remainder of the week.  Upper energy and moisture will translate into a mostly cloudy sky with occasional showers, then another day of cold rain likely Friday.  A clearing trend will begin Saturday as the last of the precipitation departs.  It won't turn significantly warmer until perhaps Tuesday of next week.
