2015 to Finish on a Warm Note

Posted

TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Warmer weather has all ready been experienced through most of November and this trend is expected to continue into December as well. The Climate Prediction Center forecasts that temperatures for the rest of the month will be above average for much of the eastern part of the United States. In the extended part of the forecast, the trend will be for increasing ridging with the surface high shifting off the Atlantic coast. This will create southerly winds by the weekend, meaning more warmer weather.  There is a gradual increase in small rain chances beginning Saturday night, but the cold front may not arrive until early next week. Models are being inconsistent with the timing of the approaching cold front.
