TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - We continue to monitor a tropical wave near Belize that will push moisture into our region heading into next week as the system drifts northbound into the open Gulf waters. Currently, it has a 20% chance of forming into a tropical system. Even if it doesn't form into a tropical system, increased rain chances are expected locally next week.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Ida continues to push eastward for another day before turning northward. By next week, the newest forecast track actually turns this system to the west. Despite this track change, no tropical islands will likely feel the impacts from Ida.
