MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Atlantic Ocean remains quiet with no activity expected to develop in the next 5 days. The large area of disturbed weather that extends south into the western Caribbean is forecast to increase rain coverage as it travels northward, but the environment it will enter will likely hinder tropical development.
In the East Pacific, Blanca is a Category 2 storm (110 mph winds) after reaching Category 5 strength on Wednesday (06/03/2015). It is still forecast to move north and possibly impact Baja California as a tropical storm.
Andres is a low-end tropical storm in terms of wind speed (40 mph) and will continue to die off in the cooler waters of the open Pacific.
