MIDWAY, Fl (WTXL) -- While there are two tropical systems in the Atlantic Ocean, neither one will be a threat to the U.S.
Tropical Depression Karl is continuing to move to the northwest at 16 mph with sustained winds of 35 mph. Over the course of Friday and Saturday, Karl will move in a more north direction and possibly impact Bermuda. As we begin our next work week, the system will turn again and move northeast toward the open Atlantic.
Like Karl, Tropical Storm Lisa is also moving in a northwest direction at 14 mph with winds of 45 mph. Lisa is expected to weaken to a depression over the next 24 hours due to wind shear. This storm is expected to remain over the open water until it is able to weaken completely.
