MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- An area of low pressure southeast of the Cape Verde Islands is continuing to organize as it pushes west into the open Atlantic waters. As of now, it has a 40% chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next five days. If the system becomes a tropical storm, its name would be Earl.
