The tropics look relatively quiet as a lot of shear and copious amounts of dry air dominate the Atlantic Basin. As we move later into the week though, the shear and dry air will dissipate allowing for some activity in the far eastern portion of the Atlantic Ocean. For example, a tropical wave currently over Africa will move offshore tomorrow and some models are forecasting for the system to develop in the coming days as dry air and shear lessen over the waters. Bare in mind though that this system is thousands of miles away from the United States and many variables are still in question before it would be a threat. At this point it is just something to keep an eye on. Here at the ABC Storm Team we will keep our eyes on the tropics and bring you the latest updates.
